TDC DONATES NEW AMBULANCE

By John Denny

Observer Reporter

(Ramsbury, Nevis) – Only two weeks after buying a new ambulance, the Nevis Island Administration was handed the keys to a second, compliments the Trading and Development Company Ltd. The previous ambulance had been purchased from TDC as well.

“I guess it is buy one, get one free,” said Deputy Premier and Minister of Health Hensley Daniel.

The new ambulance will still need to be outfitted with equipment and supplies. The two new ambulances have come none too soon, as both of the old ones are looking rough. One has its emergency lights broken off and the other has had plastic taped over the passenger side window for months.

The minister expressed his gratitude to TDC for the new ambulance and emphasized the importance of taking care of such expensive emergency vehicles

“I am asking the public that if you see this or any other ambulance being operated recklessly to call the hospital or the Ministry of Health to report such behavior,” said Minister Daniel.

“This ambulance belongs to the people of Nevis and we want it taken care of. This ambulance is just another example of this administration partnering with the private sector to improve the life and Health of all Nevisians.”
