(Brown Hill, Nevis) – Surrounded by nearly 70 friends, family, musicians and press, Herman Ward, originally of Cox celebrated his 100th birthday on Tuesday, Sept. 23.

After a prayer by Rev. Rose Marie Julius and a couple of inspirational songs, his daughter, Hyleta Liburd, spoke a few words about her father.

“All his life, he has been a special servant of God and an inspiration to all,” said Ms. Liburd. “He is a great encourager, a perfect example, a humble and wonderful counselor.”
