| BROWN HILL MAN TURNS 100

(Brown Hill, Nevis) Surrounded by nearly 70
friends, family, musicians and press, Herman Ward,
originally of Cox celebrated his 100th birthday on
Tuesday, Sept. 23.
After a prayer by Rev. Rose Marie Julius and a couple
of inspirational songs, his daughter, Hyleta Liburd,
spoke a few words about her father.
All his life, he has been a special servant
of God and an inspiration to all, said Ms. Liburd.
He is a great encourager, a perfect example,
a humble and wonderful counselor.
Also in attendance and wishing Mr. Ward a happy birthday
was the former Premier of Nevis Vance Amory and the
current Deputy Premier Hensley Daniel.
In addition to refreshments and a number of hymns
being sung, a special performance from the Cox String
Band was heard.
