(Charlestown, Nevis) Two small cruise ships
made a port of call in Nevis on Monday bringing an
even 300 tourists between the pair.
The 10,000-ton Sea Bourne Legend arrived from St.
Thomas, USVI with 193 passengers, while the 4,260-ton
Sea Dream with 107 passengers arrived from Virgin
Gorda, B.V.I. Both passenger ships were docked at
8:00 am and departed from Charlestown at 6:00p.m.
The Sea Bourne Legend headed for St. Lucia and the
Sea Dreams next destination was Saba.
One couple from Canada said they do cruises to shop
for future destinations.
We retired early and we go on cruises to see
which islands we like, said the wife.
The couple will go on a cruise and spend a day or
two at different ports of call. When they find a place
they like, they book a vacation back at that spot.
After about six hours of touring Nevis, the couple
said they were definitely considering Nevis for one
of their return vacations.
Beautiful beaches and it is unspoiled from
development, she said. Nevis is definitely
on the possible list for our next vacation and if
we come back we will probably spend at least a week
here. There is plenty to do, even though we were so
busy trying to see the whole place and didnt
get to do all those things, we will when we come back.
The couple have cruised a number of times in the
Caribbean as well as the Mediterranean and although
they said the Greece was their favorite, the Caribbean
was more affordable.
The couples next stop on their current cruise
was to be St. Lucia.
