The 2009-2010 dance recital
by the Youth Outreach Dance Ministry comes off this
Saturday January 30, 2010 at the Sir Cecil Jacobs Auditorium
starting 7:30pm under the theme, "WHAT THE LORD
HAS DONE."
The students who hail
from various denominations throughout the federation
are ready and geared up to showcase brand new pieces
including ballet. The ministry is a Christian dance
school for young people between ages 5-19. Interested
persons can contact Ms Caines at 663-7847.
Ms Andrea Caines,
director and choreographer of this ministry said the
talented and dynamic dancers have been working tirelessly
around the clock to get this event underway. "It's
a good opportunity to show what the underground dance
community is doing and how we're thriving through
creativity," said Ms Caines.
She indicated that
the dance concerts are held annually as a means to
showcase the talented choreographer and dancers in
St. Kitts. Ms Caines also said the ministry will be
having their fourth graduation ceremony under the
theme, "I AM SPECIAL," on Saturday 6th February
at the Zion Moravian Church starting at 7pm. A love
offering will be collected.
Special appearances
by the Rising Sons will also be made on stage with
their beautiful voices. The ministry thanks the following
persons who have made this concert a success: His
Excellency, Sir Cuthbert Sebastian, St. Kitts Credit
Union, St. Kitts & Nevis National Bank, Nesry
Enterprises, Island Bakeries, and Clifford Thomas;
Ms Dian Pringle and Mrs. Olivia Dias-Taylor for the
preparation of costumes; their fans, well-wishers,
supporters, and parents for their continued support
over the years. Ms Caines encourages the public to
come out and support these young people as they minister
the Word of God through dance and songTickets for
