The junior girls got
things off to a good start with a fairly rapid pace.
They ran from the school, down to Bailey Yard and
back up to the school. Janessa Caines took first spot
in nine minutes and twenty-six seconds. The boys completed
a similar route and this time it was Khaleel Glasgow
who took first place honours in nine minutes and fifty-one
seconds.
The senior girls then
completed their extended route from Cox Village, in
front of the original home of Sports Minister, Hon
Hensley Daniel, down through Bailey Yard and up to
the school.
The senior boys completed
the same course with one significant extension as
they started at Clay Ghaut in the vicinity of Bababs
shop. Quite a number of parents and other relatives
of the athletes showed up to show their support.
