Clean And Healthy Restrooms For Primary Schools

Students from Tucker Clarke

Sixteen (16) Primary School students went home beaming with pride and a $250 EC cheque after being chosen as winners for the Primary School Restroom Renovation Multi-Media Public Information Campaign.

Funded by the Basic Needs Trust Fund (BNTF), seven (7) participating primary schools contributed over one hundred (100) pieces of art and slogans themed to encourage the better use and care of restroom facilities.

In keeping with its commitment to improving the conditions of restrooms, BNTF will also oversee the physical renovation of restrooms in the participating primary schools. Winning slogans and drawings will be printed in color and posted in schools throughout to promote positive restroom practice for the benefit of all.

“These renovations can be maintained and sustained for many years to come, however, it is imperative that we have the continued monitoring and support of students, teachers, parents, the wider community and the Ministry of Education” say BNTF staff.
