Inland Revenue Department Has Relocated

Basseterre Post Office

July 12 - The Inland Revenue Department will be operating from its original location – upstairs from the Post Office on the Bay Road, from Monday 12th July 2010.

Operations were temporarily relocated to The Palms Complex in The Circus in November of last year.

Comptroller of Inland Revenue, Mrs. Beverly Williams said the office at The Circus was closed from 12 noon on Friday 8th July, and normal business will resumed on Monday 12th 2010 upstairs from the Post Office.

Plans to construct a third floor on the building had to be shelved. Offices were redesigned and renovated.

The Inland Revenue Department is responsible for administering the tax laws in an efficient and equitable manner, to promote voluntary compliance and to maximise revenue.
