SKELEC Announces Urgent Maintenance to Canada Transformer

Jan. 25 -- The St. Kitts Electricity Company Ltd (SKELEC) has announced that it will need to conduct urgent maintenance work to a transformer located at CONTECT at the Canada Industrial Estate. A statement issued on Wednesday explained that consequently, there would be an outage to the Estate on Thursday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

CTO John Krupski stated, "Specifically those in the Canada Industrial Estate area, will experience a supply outage (from CONTEC to SCANDISK) between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 26. This is to effect a supply to the St. Kitts Masonary Products and to carry out urgent maintenance work on the transformer at CONTEC."

SKELEC said in the statement issued on Wednesday that it wished to apologize to its customers for the short notice scheduled outage and expressed appreciation to its customers for their consideration and understanding.
