Grant Unanimously Re-elected as PAM Head

June 14 — Almost 200 plus members including 150 official delegates of the St.Kitts and Nevis main Opposition Party, the People’s Action Movement, re-elected 45-year old Harvard-Trained lawyer Lindsay Grant as the party’s political leader at the party’s delegate convention held at the Royal St.Kitts Hotel on Sunday, June 13th. Their was no other nomination presented By any of the constituencies or delegates for the leadership position. The delegates also unanimously elected the Hon. Eugene Hamilton and the Hon. Shawn K. Richards as the party’s two deputy political leaders. Sydney Osbourne was elected to serve another term as Party Chairman, with Dr. Charles Warner as his deputy. Rupert Earle was elected Treasurer, while Terrelah Byron was elected Assistant General Secretary. Wallis Wilkin retained his post as the party’s Public Relations Officer. As per the party’s constitution, the newly elected executive will appoint the General Secretary. The party’s National Convention is scheduled for next month.
