Jamaican acts Morgan Heritage and Jah Cure will headline the free Independence 30th Anniversary Super Concert, organizers have revealed. Another regional to grace the stage will be gospel singer Carlene Davis out of Jamaica. Independence Committee Chairperson Permanent, Secretary in the Ministry of Culture, Sharon Rattan, made the announcement this morning, informing that a number of local acts will also be performing that night. Local gospel act the Majestics band will open the show however the names of the other local acts have yet to be revealed. PS Rattan said in the coming days those names would be released, but noted that the “local big bands”would be included. The super concert will take place at Warner Park Stadium on September 18 and PS Rattan informed that the show would start at either 5 or 6pm to allow for the many artistes slated to perform that night.
