The St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank has elected a new Board of Directors after the new government asked the previous directors to resign. An extraordinary general meeting of the members was held at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort, yesterday (Apr 15) to elect the new board. New Board Chairman is Howard McEachrane; past Chairman of St. Kitts Bottling Company, and past Finance Director of TDC. He replaces Linkon “Contender” Maynard. Banker Analdo Bailey will serve as 1 st Vice Chairman- replacing Mitchell Gumbs and Alexis Nisbett, General Manager of Biomedical Research Institute is the new 2nd Vice Chair man, replacing Dr. Mervin Laws. The other Board members are Theodore Hobson QC; Dr. Cardell Rawlins; Wallis Wilkin; Lionel “Benjax” Benjamin; Talibah Byron; and Elretha Simpson Browne; they replace previous directors Halva Hendrickson, Elsie Mills, Sharylle Richardson, Clement Williams, Merricia Phillip, and Hastings Daniel. The government is the majority shareholder in SKNANB with 51%. The Bank reported an after tax profit of EC$25.2 million and deposits reaching EC$2.5 billion for the period ending June 2014.
