A home invasion in the Taylors community by four masked men quickly turned into cold blooded murder as the group began shooting the three teenagers enjoying a quiet evening inside.

It was about 8 p.m. Wednesday when the group entered the home. Witnesses claim more than a dozen shots were fired ,

As 17-year-old Jamoy Stapleton ran from the house he was shot several times and killed, while a 15-year-old male juvenile received several gunshot wounds to his body. A female, Antonia Estrada, 19, was shot in her left elbow.

Stapleton was dead at the scene. Police said the surviving pair were transported to J.N.F. Hospital by the Emergency Medical Service. The 15-year-old is listed in critical but stable condition.

The three were students at Basseterre High School.

Technicians from the Forensic Services Department processed the scene and items of evidential value were collected.

Police investigation into the matter is ongoing. At this time no suspects have been arrested or named and no motive has been given. This is the 12th Federation murder in five months of 2018.
