Officer charged for traffic-related offences

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts — Constable Lennox Hodge of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, Nevis Division was formally arrested and charged on Thursday for two traffic-related offences.

Constable Hodge was charged for Driving Without a Valid and Unexpired Driver’s License and for Driving Without Insurance. He was driving a privately-owned vehicle at the time of the incident.

Hodges is expected to appear before the Basseterre Magistrate Court today. Additionally, he will face disciplinary action.

As in all cases when an officer is charged with an offence put before the Court, Constable Hodge is expected to be suspended from duty with half-pay until the matter is disposed of by the Court.
