Raymonde Signature Designs and Winnielle Model Management (WMM) are presently in the preparation stages of producing two major fashion shows for the month of April.

Raymonde Bartlette says that her fashion event entitled “All that Glitters on the Caribbean Sea!” schedule for Sunday, April 22 will showcase her designs that are made by her mother Patricia Bartlette.

“I have been designing for several years, I presently work at the St. Kitts Tourism Authority in New York promoting the island of St. Kitts,” she said. “But in my after hours I spend them designing while my mom sews the designs.”

Bartlette says that she has spent sleepless nights up with her mother who would cut and make clothes for friends in the community and that her parents are her inspiration.

CEO of Winnielle Model Management envisions her April event titled “Show Me Your Body” as a gear up for the summer and a lead up to the agency’s major “Show Me Your Soul” blowout.

“We thought to tease the Federation with a Swimsuit Extravaganza by presenting St. Kitts as a venue to host designers from all over the world,” she said. “We opted for a swimsuit show instead of a high fashion one because we wanted to highlight the Caribbean’s official uniform,– the swimsuit.”

The event is scheduled for Friday April 28 at the St. Kitts Marriott Events Centre featuring rock hard bodies. They will be modeling swimsuit collections from new seasoned designers from around the world as well as upcoming ones.

The featured designer for the event is the internationally recognized Caribbean designer, Sharifa Nero. Although her designs hail from Anguilla via Maryland, Sharifa has Kittitian roots, as she is the daughter of King Ellie Matt.

She has been featured in numerous fashion shows in the United States and Anguilla as well as many Caribbean magazines based in the US. Her designs were chosen in 2004 to be used in the legendary Jimmy Cliffs music video, which was shot in 2004 in St Maarten and Anguilla.

The event will also receive various top fashion media coverage including renowned runway photographer Manish Shah out of Miami of Lerage.COM. He has photographed all of the fashion weeks around the world.

Fashion Magazines Shabeau out of Trinidad, She Caribbean out of St Lucia and Splash Caribbean out of St Kitts/Nevis will also cover the event.

Raymonde Bartlette said that the last time her designs were showcased in St. Kitts was during the Brown Sugar fashion event dubbed, “Sugar Stories”.

For her fashion show schedule for April 22 at the St. Kitts Marriott Ballroom she will feature models hailing from the United States and Japan as well as top models from St. Kitts.

“Besides showing my designs on the runway in St. Kitts there is a spin off to the event, I see it as a benefit for the cancer society of which some of the proceeds will go to,” she said. “This is my way of giving back to society.”

The designs of Brown Sugar and hats made by Dale Isaac will also be featured on All that Glitters on the Caribbean Sea. In addition to the show the Calypso Tumblers will perform several acrobatic acts. They perform annually at the Arnold Schwarzenegger Show in Ohio.

The major sponsors for the event are Cable & Wireless, American Airlines and SKNVibes.com. They have all partnered with Raymonde Signature Designs to put on a show that is said to keep people on the edge of their seats.

WMM is also pleased to announce the support of bmobile – the Cable & Wireless mobile brand, to lend further flair to the show for the first time as sponsors.

“bMobile is reflected as a hip and trendy brand and perfectly compliments this fashion event,” said Guilbert.

CEO Guilbert said of the format of the show that patrons could expect energetic dancers performing to a wide variety of tunes from all genres. The Show will also feature a bMobile Red Carpet leading into the fabulous Events Center where the show will be held.
