Washington Archibald High School students is Miss Labour 2006

A Washington Archibald High School Fourth Former is the winner of the Miss Labour Pageant held last Saturday night.
West Basseterre representative, Miss Alsanarda Hanley, not only won the Miss
Labour 2006/2007 title, but also the Best Introductory Speech, Best Talent
and Best Evening Wear categories.
Miss Hanley amassed a total of 382 points during the appearances at Carnival
City, Warner Park.
Third-runner up is Sindy Nathan of Constituency # 4, who received 339 points. Second runner-up is East Basseterre’s Amirh Viera, who received 350 points, while First runner-up with 364 points, is Glentisha Stevens of Constituency # 7.
The other contestants were Grace Percival of Central Basseterre; Vanessa Lewis, Constituency # 5; Narissa Henry, Constituency #6 and Cecilisha Charles, Constituency # 8.
The new Miss Labour was robed and crowned by St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party National Political Leader and Prime Minister, Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas, who also congratulated the runners-up and other contestants.
Deputy Political Leader and Deputy Prime Minister, Hon. Sam Condor, distributed the Certificates of Participation, the trophies and gifts to the winners and participants.
Performances were by Bird Man of Antigua, Sugar Aloes of Trinidad and Tobago, Mighty Junior, NG Steppers and the Grand Masters.
