I DEEPLY RESENT THIS SHODDY AND UNPROFESSIONAL TREATMENT

Dear Editor:

It is with deep regret that I am forced to write this letter to inform the people of Nevis of the lack of professionalism and respect that Caribbean International Air Cargo (located on Happy Hill Drive) gives its customers.

I lived on Nevis for approximately 8 years and during that time my experiences were both memorable and enjoyable. However, I am saddened that my last memories of Nevis have spoiled my joy.

I was in the process of relocating to St. Thomas when I was advised that Caribbean International Air Cargo could deliver my items in one day. I contacted them and we arranged for my items to be picked up from my home at 10:00 a.m. and they would arrive in St Thomas the same day. My items were picked up at 4:00 p.m. and I was then advised that they would be leaving the next day (Friday). It has been almost three weeks and my items are still in Nevis in the possession of Caribbean International Air Cargo.

I have repeatedly tried to get them on the phone both at the office and the cell numbers of Doreen Hodge (sales and marketing) and Charles Burroughs (owner) for the past week and a half to no avail.

Watkins of MS Trading (the agents for said company) have been kind enough to attempt to send my items via another means of transport but nothing has materialized as of yet.

I caution anyone on doing business with Caribbean International Air Cargo for neither Doreen Hodge or Mr Charles Burroughs have had the decency to communicate with me regarding the delay of services for which they were already paid. I fulfilled my end of the agreement with payment but they have yet to fulfill theirs.

Caribbean International Air Cargo is not a reliable or professionally run company and I caution anyone from doing business with them.

What bothers me the most is that they are still advertising services for which they are not able to deliver and some other unsuspecting, misinformed person could find themselves in the same predicament that I am in.

The holidays are fast approaching and I am stuck in St. Thomas living out of a suitcase without any of my household or personal items.

If anyone can be of assistance I would forever be grateful.

Sincerely,

A. Shawn Hezekiah
