Financial Adviser of the British American Insurance Company Limited, St. Kitts Branch, Rohan Walters, has added another premium achievement to his name since his eight-year employ with that organisation.

Walters was recently appointed St. Kitts Chairman for the 2005-2006 Membership Communications Committee (MCC) of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT); a one-year appointment in which he succeeded his counterpart Marvin Herbert.

He will be responsible for communicating information from the Headquarters of the MDRT to all financial advisers in the Federation and to report the needs and concerns of those advisers to the headquarters.

Additionally, Walters’ responsibilities include promoting the benefits of the MDRT membership to current and prospective members, life companies, brokers and dealer groups and professional associations.

There are approximately three million financial advisers in the world and members of the MDRT represent the top percentage of this figure.

Globally, the MDRT is the premier association for financial professionals and Walters’ recent appointment is one of importance for the enhancement of its global growth and strength.

Commenting on his success Walters said, “I felt very humbled on receipt of the correspondence from the Membership Communications Committee requesting my endorsement for the position of its Chairman in the Federation.

“Ii is my intention to use the office to further enhance the quality service provided to clients and also to make the MDRT members aware that we do not have an insurance association in the Federation and efforts should me made to correct it.”

Walters noted that the MDRT provides him access to the latest information on financial matters and guides him on the ethics of insurance affairs.

“Being a member of the MDRT, one’s capability and efficiency in one’s field of work will be greatly enhanced. This prestigious organisation teaches us how to be better members and how to maximise production, mainly not for personal benefits but in the interest of our clients,” said Walters.

Walters said that he has been a member of the MDRT for the past four years and the St. Kitts Branch of the British American Insurance Company Limited has three other executives in that organisation.
