Kervin Hanley of West Farm was convicted on Friday May 11, 2007 at the Basseterre Magistrate Court for five offences – Battery, Exposing his person, Being found in an enclosed premise, Larceny and Being armed with an offensive weapon. Hanley got convicted to serve time behind bars for each offence. For battery, he received 6 months imprisonment, for exposing his person three months in prison and being found in an enclosed premise six months. For larceny He was sentenced to three years and being armed with an offensive weapon, he got 3 months. The offences were committed on May 6th at West Farm.

Also, 14 persons were convicted and fined for driving carelessly. Harvey Liburd of Newton Ground was one of them. He was fined EC$350.00 to be paid in 3 weeks or in default to serve 1 week in prison. Joseph Liburd of Ponds Extension was fined EC$300.00 to be paid in 3 weeks or in default to serve 2 weeks in prison. Vernaldo Rawlins of St. Peters have to pay the same fine as Liburd and he have to pay it in 1 week or in default to serve 1 week in prison. Idelia Wilkes of Palmetto Point was cautioned. Colleen Richardson of Saddlers Village was fined EC$500.00 in 1 week or in default to serve 1 week in prison. Terren Hanley of St. Peters was fined EC$500.00 in 1 week or serve 1 week in prison if the fine is not paid. Ashton Williams of Molyneaux was also cautioned.

Emile Stapleton of Buckley’s Estate was convicted for three offences – Driving an unregistered vehicle, driving without insurance and driving an unlicensed vehicle. He has to pay a total amount of EC$550.00 for the offences.

Desdemona Henry of Frigate Bay and Micheal Bridgewater of Ponds Pasture was fined EC$300.00 each. Joval Isaac of Conaree was convicted for careless driving, driving without insurance and driving without a license. He have to pay a total of EC$800.00. Bruce Nolan of Cunningham Street was fined EC$250.00.

Four persons were arrested and charged for offences between May 11-13, 2007. Spencer Vernon Hodge of Keys Village was charged for malicious damage, resisting arrest, battery on a police officer and making use of indecent language committed at Key’s Village on May 13th. Evan Daniel of Parsons was charged for malicious damage and assaulting a police officer while in the execution of his duty committed on May 12, 2007 at Parsons and April 27 at Saddlers respectively. Daniel was also charged for possession of a controlled drug to wit cannabis committed on May 11, 2007 at Saddlers Village. Jaheba Samuel of Station Street, Old Road, Samuel Bradshaw of Camps, Kwame Samuel of Wingfield Road, Romaine Clarke of Pond Hill, Nevis and Ishawn Samuel of Green Tree Project were charged with possession with intent to supply and possession of controlled drugs to wit cannabis, committed on May 12th at Wingfield Road, Old Road.

Three male juveniles from the Basseterre area were charged for possession of ammunition committed on May 12th, 2007 at St. Johnson Village.

St. Clair Phillip of Upper Monkey Hill of Upper Monkey Hill was charged for possession of a controlled drug to wit cannabis committed on May 11, 2007. Javid Samuel of Ponds Extension was charged for larceny committed on May 12, 2007. Jermaine Underwood of Trafalgar Village and Jermaine Wilkerson of Basseterre were charged for assault with intent to Rob committed on Saturday May 12, 2007. On May 14, 2007, Anthony Nigel Stead of Carty Alley, Newtown, Dwayne Emerson Hobson of St. Johnson Village, Benjamin and Michael Gully of Texas, USA, Leroy Maxwell Roach of Buckley’s Site, Aaron Sylvester Fredrick were charged with the offence of possession of a controlled drug to wit cocaine committed on May 14, 2007 at Lower Fiennes Avenue, Basseterre.

Oretha Flanders of Saddlers was convicted of carrying abroad an offensive weapon to wit a cutlass committed on Aug. 18 2006. She was fined EC$300.00 to be paid in 2 weeks or in default to serve one week in prison. Spencer Hodge of Keys Village as was guilty for battery on a police officer committed on May 13, 2007 at Keys. He was fined EC$1,000.00 in 2 weeks or in default 1 month imprisonment. He was also convicted for malicious damage, resisting arrest and indecent language committed on May 13, 2007 at Keys Village.
