Washington High’s school band gets over $50K from TDC

TDC and its wholly-owned Subsidiary Company, St. Kitts Nevis Insurance Company Ltd. (SNIC), have partnered once again, to present the WAHS Band Ensemble with accessories valued at EC$5345.00, to complement their uniforms. Students and faculty of the WAHS witnessed the presentation ceremony that was held on February 21st 2006, on the School’s grounds.

Mr. Noah Mills, Manager of the TDC Client Relations and Marketing Department, echoed that TDC has played a pivotal role in the advancement of Sports through sponsorship of one of its many recipients, the Annual Interschool Championship, and stated that the WAHS Marching Band’s performance at said event was overwhelming.

Subsequently, Mrs. Nesta Seaton-Clarke, General Manager of SNIC, re-affirmed SNIC’s commitment to Community building and encouraged students and young people in general to move forward positively. She quoted SNIC’s motto, “At SNIC We Take Good Care Of You,” and indicated the Company’s passion for Youth advancement.

Mr. Clifford Govia, Deputy Principal of the WAHS, expressed gratitude to TDC and SNIC for their generous donation, on behalf of Mr. Ian Hodge, the Musical Director of the WAHS, faculty, and students.

He quoted “On behalf of Mr. Hodge and the Band, we gladly accept these accessories. We appreciate the fact that TDC realizes that these children are willing to devote their time and effort to ensure that they are engaged in something constructive and productive.”

SNIC continues to demonstrate its commitment to the development of the Communities by contributing to the Cayon High School Annual Speech Day, donating valuable items to the Traffic Department, as well as, working closely with the Traffic Department to ensure the safety of Citizens.

SNIC also partners with TDC to donate to National events such as the Annual St. Kitts National Carnival and the Annual St. Kitts Music Festival.
