The Coca Cola Shamrock Under 23 Community Netball League got on the way Saturday at the Newtown playing field.
Three games were played on that day, with West Basseterre making a very impressive showing as the team spanked Parsons, 41-13.
West Basseterre’s Tenelle Lapsey, goal shooter, scored 37 goals from 48 attempts. Also West Basseterre’s Mechelle Liburd played an outstanding game, while making 4 goals from 6 attempts.
Tishana Gumbs of Parsons also had a good game.
Also playing well on Saturday was St. Peters. With a stifling defense St. Peters demolished Molineux, 25-2.
St. Peter’s Ronelle Edwards, goal shooter, made 21 goals from 27 attempts. Danelle Smith, goal attack, helped out with 4 goals from 4 attempts.
Molineux only had 12 attempts for the game, with Sherita Phipps, goal shooter, making 2 goals from 7 attempts.
Juliana Thompson was the outstanding player for Molineux.
Another lopsided victory was witnessed on Saturday when Cayon/Keys went up against Project Strong.
Cayon/Keys won the game, 25-2.
Cayon/Keys had a total of 42 goal attempts while Project Strong only had 11.
Cayon/Keys’ Tenelle Patrick, goal attack, made 12 goals from 18 attempts. Angella Jeffers, goal shoot, had 8 goals from 13 attempts. Joya Herbert, goal shoot, had 8 goals from 11 attempts.
On Thursday the games were played in Molineux. West Bassterre went up against St. Peters; East Basseterre played Project Strong, and Cayon/Keys played Molineux.

Tomorrow (Saturday) the games will be played in Saddlers, at 5 p.m. Project Strong will battle Molineux; Cayon/Keys will play West Basseterre, and East Basseterre will go up against Parsons.
