The 29th edition of the Agriculture Open Day on St. Kitts is set to be bigger and better than ever on the 25th and 26th of April 2024, with over 120 stalls at the Royal Basseterre Valley National Park

The event celebrates the achievements and innovations of the agricultural sector on St. Kitts, showcasing a wide range of agro products and services. Visitors can meet with farmers, fisherfolk, food producers, agronomists, veterinarians, extension agents, and experts in the field

Activities include educational presentations, cooking demonstrations, watermelon and corn-eating competitions, and free dog licencing.

Head of Media and Communication in the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Marine Resources, Chaira Flanders, said, “We are thrilled to have over 120 stalls at this year’s Agriculture Open Day, and if I were to be specific, our hard-working Open Day logistics team has reported a total of 128 stalls to be explored, which further increases the opportunity for farmers, vendors, and other stakeholders to come together to earnestly celebrate the incredible work being done in the agricultural industry while the event generates revenue to support the economy.”

The event is expected to draw thousands of visitors from the Twin Island Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis and the region
