Police are investigating the theft of over $70,000 USD from a Nevis tourist destination that occurred just before Christmas.
The money was taken from the vault in the office of the Four Seasons Resort, according to Inspector Cromwell Henry.
Police think the theft may have been an inside job, he said.
“There was no sign of a break-in on the premises,” Insp. Henry said.
No arrests have been made in the case, he said.
The Four Seasons firm had no comment on the incident.
The Four Seasons is considered to be one of the top resort destinations in the Eastern Caribbean and is the largest private employer on Nevis
