A search is underway for a new general manager for the Bank of Nevis.
The contract of former GM Andrew “Jack” Shirley ended in December and the bank is looking for a replacement, bank board chairman Richard Lupinacci said.
“The search is going on,” he said. “We hope to have a replacement by the end of the month.”
The bank is advertising the position in the Federation and throughout the Caribbean region, Mr. Lupinacci said.
“It takes someone with real experience to do this,” he said.
Mr. Shirley had been with the bank for less than a year, Mr. Lupinacci said.
The Bank of Nevis is a stand-alone institution, Mr. Lupinacci said, and is locally owned.
According to Mr. Lupinacci, the bank now has over $300 million in assets and has 59 employees. It opened in 1985.
