Information Courtesy of Scotiabank (Charlestown, Nevis) – The Bank of Nova Scotia initiated a fresh approach to its community involvement when the Staff at the Scotiabank Nevis Branch spent the afternoon of recently spent a Saturday afternoon visiting with the residents of the Flamboyant Home for the Elderly. “Mr. Charles Morton, Manager at the Nevis Branch of Scotiabank, accompanied the staff and stated that they were able to spend quality time with the elderly. “”We assisted with the preparation of their supper and generally shared fellowship and made them feel comfortable that somebody cares.” That is what Scotiabank is all about – a Caring Institution and we want the bank’s presence to be felt in the community,” he said. “Mr. Morton was excited about the enthusiasm shown by the staff during their visit to the Flamboyant Home.” “”When we discussed the idea at work we thought that this was an excellent opportunity to demonstrate our appreciation to the elderly who have made enormous contributions to our development; and it was a joy to witness the staff interacting with them and making them feel loved and special”. “The visit to the Flamboyant Home was Scotiabank’s contribution towards the Celebration of the Elderly which was held in October. Mr Morton said plans are already in motion for more visits with the senior citizens to usher in the Yuletide Season.
