(Charlestown, Nevis) ” Anyone considering higher education will get a chance to learn about a number of learning institutions at the International College Fair set for later this month. The event, sponsored by the Nevis Public Library, is in its fifth year. This year’s theme is “Get a Jump. . .What’s Next, After High School?” Representatives from institutions in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean will be in the Federation for two days to discuss their schools. On Monday, Nov. 17, from 10 a.m. ” 5 p.m., the fair will be held at Occasions, Pinney Estates, on Nevis. On Tuesday, Nov. 18, the fair will be held at St. George’s Parish Hall in Basseterre. An opening ceremony will be held at 9 a.m. on Nov. 17 at Occasions. Students, parents of students considering attending a university and working adults can all benefit from the fair, according to organizers. In a letter to media houses, Mrs. Lornette Hanley, the Librarian at the Nevis Public Library, outlined the need for the fair. “With the current and impending effects of globalization at the forefront of every discussion, it is imperative that the Federation is equipped with trained personnel to effectively meet these challenges,” she wrote.
