July 17 — On Friday, July 16, police responded to a report of robbery which occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. at Saddlers Village. Investigations revealed that three masked persons, two of whom were armed, demanded money from an employee of a delivery truck which was in the process of delivering goods to a shop. The employee handed over one black bag containing a sum of money. No one was injured in the incident. Investigations are ongoing. Police is appealing to persons with information regarding this crime to call the St. Pauls Police Station at 465-2681. In addition, places of business are urged to initiate safety measures to discourage these occurrences. This is the third robbery of a business delivery truck in the past 30 days, following similar attacks on a Carib Brewery truck on June 26, and an O.D. Brisbane truck on July 5. In the latter incident, three assailants got away with more than $2000.
