Evrol Daniel sentenced for unlawful wounding

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – Evrol Daniel of Butlers, Nevis, who had been charged for unlawful wounding, has been sentenced to two years imprisonment for the offence. The sentencing took place at the Charlestown Magistrate Court May 18. 

Daniel, who pleaded guilty to the offence earlier in the assizes, was sentenced to three years imprisonment with a suspended sentence for two years. If he commits any offence during the two-year period, the sentence will take effect. An additional charge of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm was withdrawn.

This incident occurred Aug. 14, 2016, outside the Butlers Holiness Church.
