FCIB Appoints New Country Manager & Head Of Corporate Banking for SKN

Mar. 18 — G Peter Edmunds, a St. Lucian, has been in banking for the past thirty two years after he started his career with Barclays Bank in 1977 and has progressed through various senior positions. During a ten year stint in New York, he rose to the position of Assistant Vice President (AVP) in Corporate/Commercial Banking in 1989 after completing an eighteen month management development program. Returning to the Caribbean in 1992, Peter transferred to his native St. Lucia where he further expanded his banking experience in the region By holding various managerial positions in The British Virgin Islands; The Cayman Islands; Dominica; St. Lucia; St. Vincent & the Grenadines and The Turks & Caicos Islands. In 2003, he moved to The Turks & Caicos Islands as the Country Manager & Head of Corporate Banking, a position he held for five years. As the Country Manager he had responsibility for the smooth transition of the merger between CIBC & Barclays Bank; Turks & Caicos was the pilot branch for the re-branding exercise following the merger. Most recently Peter worked in The Cayman Islands as a Senior Corporate Manager for almost two and a half years. Peter graduated from the City University of New York with a B Sc. in Finance in 1991 and is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Business Administration with Leicester University in the UK. He is also a member of the Global Association of Risk Professionals.
