The Rotary Clubs of both St. Kitts and Nevis joined together on Feb. 9 to host a barbeque for the residents of the Children’s Home on St. Kitts. The event was held at Fort Ashbey.
As a part of the Rotary-mandated humanitarian services, the clubs encourage young people to improve their lives. They also mentor the children. The whole point of the outing was to spend time with the children, one-on-one time, at least once a year.
The St. Kitts Club organized the event in collaboration with the Nevis Club. The St. Kitts Club has been doing this type of work for the past 13 year. This is the second time the Nevis Club has joined with the St. Kitts Club.
The food was organized by the Nevis Club.
Presidents of both clubs said they were just glad that they can do something for the children and that they were having a great time with the kids
