On Wednesday afternoon, March 8 at about 2 p.m., Executive Directors Mr. Nicolas Menon and Mr. Austin DaSilva of TDC, Mr. Lester Hanley, General Manager of TDC Business Equipment, Mr. Clayton Douglas, Business Equipment Service Manager, and other TDC managers, all gathered in the TDC board room to witness the presentation of the Bronze Level Awards to two (2) TDC technicians.
Mr. Asim Powell of St. Kitts and Mr. Marshall Queeley of Nevis, accepted their awards from Mr. Jose Freire, Canon Latin America, Inc. representative.
Messrs Powell and Queeley successfully completed the Association of Technical Service Professionals exam in July 2005, which was administered at TDC Business Equipment in St. Kitts. The program itself is designed to acknowledge and reward outstanding achievements by dealer technicians.
This curriculum has a comprehensive system of performance standards, which are designed to better meet the service needs of Canon copiers.
To participate in this program and become an Associate Technical Specialist, all Canon Latin America, Inc. authorized copier service dealer technicians must meet certain eligibility requirements. These requirements include working with the digital black & white + colour laser copier product group, having one year’s on-the-job experience with a Canon dealer, being Canon dealer CLC/Image Runner certified prior to the examination, and successfully completing the bronze level examination.
These two Associate Technical Specialists received a bronze pin, bronze plaque, 25 percent credit on hotel expenses for new product training for one (1) year, and a US $100.00 gift certificate. Mr. Freire also presented a glass plaque to the TDC Group of Companies in recognition of the two technicians.
Mr. Nicolas Menon and Mr. Lester Hanley congratulated the technicians on their accomplishments and thanked Canon Latin America Inc., for its continued partnership with the company. They went on to reaffirm TDC’s position to provide support and upgrade services to their valued customers/clients for Canon products.
They also renewed their commitment to having all of the company’s technicians certified in the near future.
