FIFTEEN YEARS FOR KETHRON SPRINGETTE By John Denny Observer Reporter
(Charlestown, Nevis) – Kethron Springette stood trial this week, for wounding which occurred during the July 11, 2008 robbery attempt against Hasketh Wade, also known as Black Hat. Shortly after 8:00 p.m. on the night in question, two masked armed men entered Black Hat’s Place, a Bath Village restaurant, which is owned by Hesketh Wade, and demanded money from him. Wade refused to comply with the bandits” demand and was shot multiple times before the men fled the scene empty handed. He was taken to the Alexandra Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery for gun shot wounds. On Thursday Springette was found guilty by unanimous verdict and sentenced to fifteen (15) years hard labour for wounding Mr. Wade with intent to do him grevious bodily harm.
