Four charged for possessing firearm

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts — The four persons who were taken into Police custody in relation to a firearm that was found in the Rawlins area in Nevis have all been charged.

On Dec. 11, Marcella Elliott and Monecia Freeman, both of Rawlins Village, Kimoy Huggins of Hamilton, and Leshon Freeman of Hard Times, have been charged for the offences of Possession of a Firearm, Possession of Ammunition and Smuggling of a Firearm.

Officers from the Nevis Division, the Special Services Unit, the Regional Security Service (RSS), along with Soldiers from the St. Kitts-Nevis Defence Force conducted several operations throughout Nevis on Dec. 10. During one of the operations, a .38 calibre revolver with several rounds of ammunition was found on the premises of a home.
