Franz Browne, a leading practitioner of massage and manipulative therapy here on Nevis and in other parts of the Caribbean, has been awarded yet another accolade by his peers in the discipline. The National Association of Massage and Manipulative Therapists (NAMMT), headquartered in the United Kingdom, and whose Mission Statement confirms that they are “Serving British and Irish Therapists”, continues to recognize the outstanding contributions to the profession by Mr. Browne and has bestowed on him honorary membership.

This means that he is qualified to add the letters NAMMT (Hon.) to an already impressive list of degrees after his name. Mr. Browne, who has also dabbled in journalism and has the diploma to prove it, is both a therapist and a teacher of the discipline at his offices in Farms Estate in Nevis, and many people over the years have testified to his understanding of the human body and the methods he has used to effect cure after cure after cure.

He is versed in G-Jo acupressure, a derivative of the ancient Chinese method of acupuncture, (and doesn’t use needles), reflexology, hydrotherapy, aromatherapy, massage therapy, and other areas of relief of discomfort. Browne, a deeply spiritual man who understands the importance of faith and belief, also relies on the Master Physician to assist in the curative procedures.

One of the major reasons people visit therapists is to find some easement for stress, which can manifest itself as physical, emotional or spiritual discord, especially in today’s world, where we do not give enough time to ourselves. Choosing to see a therapist to give back what we give out, is a good first step. How often do you even stop long enough to take a good deep breath? This is stress-relieving in itself. During massage, you will be encouraged to remember to breathe. Sometimes, we need to be shown how to relax, and this is where massage therapists like Franz Browne can help.

Mr Browne, with over thirty (30) years’ continuous experience in the field, has helped many people and continues to do so in his humble, yet highly professional way, never omitting the spiritual aspect. We are proud to be associated with him and consider this latest tribute well deserved
