The executive of the St. Kitts-Nevis Football Association and three football teams are at an impasse concerning a playoffs series of five teams.

The three football teams — TDC Newtown United, Digicel Village Superstars and S L Horsfords St. Paul’s United — have said they will not participate in the playoffs involving five teams.

Matches have been slated to start tomorrow.

What are your views on the matter.

Rodney Edwards, Haynes Smith Village — I think they should hurry up and make their decision so the games could continue. Right now they are hurting a lot of the fans with this conflict. They need to rectify this problem as soon as possible. I am hoping for a final four, so they will have to get rid of the extra team that is causing the problem and get the games started. We were enjoying the matches so they really need to come to a conclusion as soon as possible.

Ansel Revan, Boyd’s Village — Final Four, that should be the decision because that is how it should be. That was the rule — they always had the Final Four. All they have to do is apologise to the team that does not belong in the Final Four, because we are all human we make mistakes sometimes. I think right now the sport of football in the Federation will suffer a lot because of this controversy — they are prolonging the games far too long now.

Taj Taylor, Marriott Hotel — I prefer the Final Four because it has never been a ‘Final Five.’ A Final Five will squeeze out the sweetness out of the championships. Final Four will be much better, because it is a natural thing to have a Final Four. If they choose a Final Five they will have to make exceptions and they will still have to make changes to the whole playoffs.

Mouricia Fyfield, Middle Island —No I don’t think they should have a final five. All these years it was always a final four and it will be unfair to keep a final five. I think if they will have a final five it should just be a one- day festival so everything could be over with. The football games have been put off for too long, am sure most the fans are fed up of waiting for the games to continue.

Bernadette Hodge, Athlete’s Foot —Well, right now I think to solve this problem they need to organize a game to be played between the two teams that are causing all this hold up in the championship. But right now they really need to come up with a solution because  I am tired of waiting for the games to continue and I am sure the other football fans will feel the same.
