This exquisite piece of sculptured art was carved exclusively by hand by Nevisian artist Isiah Parry, pictured holding the artwork, from one piece of mahogany wood about 75 pounds in weight. He did this tremendous three dimensional work just by looking at photographs of the subject, Mark Brantley. He plans to do another of the late Malcolm Guishard.
The avid artist says: “I’m looking forward to making sculptures of many more locals. This class of work is history in the making and would be great in attracting tourists and could be seen as another great wonder of the art world.”
