(Basseterre, St. Kitts) – The search continues for two men who were lost at sea off the coast of St. Kitts on February 19. Earlier this week, police questioned the only survivor of the incident.

Collin “Izum” Matthew turned himself in to police custody on Tuesday, February 27 at Police Headquarters, Basseterre.

Mr. Matthew is the lone witness and survivor so far of a fishing expedition that went awry when the boat capsized in waters off the South East Peninsula coast near Canoe Bay.  Keita Williams and Kasim “Dula” Maynard were also onboard the fishing boat, FV Lady Sea, which was captained by Mr. Matthew.

On Monday, February 25, Police issued a press release seeking the whereabouts of the survivor.  Mr. Matthew turned himself in on February 26.

Since the ill-fated fishing expedition, there has been no sign of the two missing persons.  The coast guard is continuing their search even as far as the territorial waters of Antigua and Barbuda.

The police said their investigation is also ongoing.
