Freeport, Grand Bahama – The National Training Agency on Monday announced the 16th cohort of the Mandatory Workforce Preparation Programme.

Set to begin in April, the 15-week programme is geared towards young people between the ages of 16 and 26 to prepare them to enter the workforce successfully and with excellence.

They will be trained in areas of: job preparation and first impressions, organizational governance, managing workplace diversity, developing communication skills, and the art of customer service.

A release issued by the Agency said, “In addition to NTA inspired courses, the trainees are carried through specialized training: City & Guilds and/or Skills Training.

“Based on their career choices, the trainees would be placed into the skills training portion of the program where they would have the opportunity to develop service based and hands-on skills. On the other hand, there are times where trainees have specific career goals; hence, those individuals would go through the internationally accredited City & Guilds program. Both of these avenues will ensure that trainees are properly prepared to succeed in today’s workforce.”

Those interested in registering for the programme are asked to do so with the following link: or they can come to our office on the second (2nd) floor of the National Insurance Building, adjacent to the NIB Compliance office.
