The Half Marathon is an undulating course that takes in St. Thomas Hill, the rise from Nelson Spring to Cades Bay, and finally the short, but steep Hurricane Hill just after passing the OualieBeach Hotel, before making a turnaround right next to the Vance Amory International Airport. The Full Marathon and Marathon Relay course is the same and it circles the entire island. This course encompasses the most challenging hill, which is known as the Anaconda Hill. You will encounter the Anaconda Hill after exiting Charlestown, and before entering the village of Gingerland.
