(Charlestown, Nevis) – The Nevis International Culinary Heritage Exposition has been rescheduled for Friday, Dec. 5 through Sunday, Dec. 7. The arrival of Hurricane Omar forced the postponed of the exposition, known as NICHE. “I want to again encourage you to go out and support the event and I guarantee you, you will have a delicious time,” the chief executive officer of the Nevis Tourism Authority, Mrs. Garcia Thompson Hendrickson, said. The event opens at Mansa, the food store located near Cades Bay, on the morning of Dec. 5. At Mansa, there will be a tour of the owner’s farm. In the afternoon, there will be a cooking demonstration at Old Manor. Coconut Grove will be the site for dinner, music and dancing that evening. On Saturday, Dec. 6, there will cooking and demonstrations and lunch at Old Manor. Carmen Gonzales, a celebrity chef from the U.S. will be in attendance. A rum tasting and chocolate pairing will follow. Nisbett Plantation Beach Club will be the setting for dinner, rum tasting and cigar rolling in the evening. On Sunday, Nisbett will host a bartending demonstration and gourmet lunch. The package cost for all events is US$440. Individual tickets are available for each event at the door.
