(St. Kitts) – One man was killed and four others injured in a weekend road accident on St. Kitts. On Dec. 21, Japhet Joseph, 26, of Old Road, was killed along the island main road at Conyers. He was driving car P6357 towards Old Road when it overturned on the mountain side of the road. He was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical doctor. Four passengers who were in the vehicle sustained injuries. They were taken to the JNF Hospital where one was detained for observation. The vehicle was badly damaged. This brings to 11 the number of fatal accidents in the Federation to date for the year. Eight took place on St. Kitts and three on Nevis. The police are carrying out investigations.
