As the curtains come down on Culturama 52, the Nevis Culturama Festival has extended its appreciation to the thousands of people whose participation, support and hard work helped bring the island’s premier cultural celebration to life.

In a message marking the close of the festival, the Nevis Culturama Festival thanked sponsors, participants, performers, volunteers, service providers, patrons, visitors and the wider community for their contribution to this year’s celebrations.

The festival was held under the theme “Our Heritage Proud and True: It’s Culturama 52,” a message that underscored the event’s longstanding role in celebrating Nevisian culture, traditions and heritage.

“Together, we celebrated our heritage and showcased the very best of Nevis,” the festival said.

The appreciation extended beyond those who took centre stage. The festival also recognised the many people who worked behind the scenes to ensure that events were delivered safely and successfully.

Special recognition was given to the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, emergency responders, healthcare professionals, sanitation teams and others who worked throughout the festival to help provide a safe, enjoyable and memorable experience for patrons.

Culturama also celebrated the contestants and participants whose talent, dedication and commitment continue to shape the festival’s cultural and competitive traditions.

“Your talent, dedication, and pursuit of excellence continue to inspire and strengthen the legacy of Culturama,” the festival said in congratulating this year’s winners and participants.

The festival described Culturama 52 as more than an annual series of events, but as a celebration of “our people, our culture, and our shared heritage.”

That spirit was reflected throughout the celebrations, which brought together local performers, cultural groups, vendors, businesses, visitors and members of the community in one of the island’s most anticipated periods of the year.

As Culturama 52 comes to a close, the festival has already turned its attention to the next chapter, announcing the dates for Culturama 53, which is scheduled for July 22 to August 3, 2027.

“Thank you for being part of Culturama 52. We look forward to welcoming you back for Culturama 53!” the festival said.

The Nevis Culturama Festival also extended its thanks to everyone who helped make the 52nd staging of the celebration a memorable one, bringing another chapter of Nevis’ cultural tradition to a close.
