While many people have already won sunshades, back-packs, and many other gifts from the Chippie Scratch and Match game, Patrick Hanley has won the first DVD Player from among over US$100,000 in prizes.

Patrick told UTS staff when he collected his DVD player Tuesday “Don’t fret because I coming back for one of them TV sets.”

The Chippie Scratch and Match game which started last month is one of United Telecommunication Services (UTS-CariGlobe) ways of thanking its valued customers for their loyalty throughout the past two years.

Marketing representative for Chippie Maurice Steenburgen said, “Customers can now spend a minimum of EC$10 and win hundreds of dollars in prizes.

‘These prizes range from Caps, Watches, DVD Players, Chippie discounts on top quality cellular phones, televisions, free calling credit, alarm clocks, discmans, back-packs and even kites.”

He said Chippie was prepared to do its part to reassure the community of St. Kitts and Nevis of its commitment to the market and with new initiatives and specials that are being launched almost daily, there is no doubt of that commitment.

The promotion will run until December 31, 2007 and customers who are successful in winning prizes have until January 31, 2008 to claim their prizes.

Steenburgen said, “For our Nevis winners of the TVs, DVD players, discmans, watches and alarm clocks, these can only be collected at the Chippie office on Cayon Street. All other prizes won in Nevis can be collected at our Charlestown office.”

The Chippie family has extended congratulations to Hanley for winning the DVD player and encourages others to “buy Chippie phone cards, scratch and win great prizes, while enjoying quality cellular service at low prices.”
