ARRESTS Crispin Carey of Tabernacle Village was on 14th October 2008 arrested and charged for the offence of wounding. The offence was committed on 12th October 2008. Timothy Hercules of Stoney Grove, Nevis, was arrested and charged for the offence of aggravated assault, an offence that was committed on 12th October 2008. Kenya Dickenson of St. Paul’s Village was on 12th October 2008 arrested and charged for the offence of larceny. The offence was committed on 7th October 2008. Royden Gumbs of Godwin Ghaut and Ivan Williams of Half Way Tree were both arrested and charged on 12th October 2008 for the offence of possession of cannabis. The offence was committed on 11th October 2008. Ivan Connor of St. Paul’s Village was also arrested and charged on 12th October 2008 for the offences of possession of cannabis and carrying abroad an offensive weapon. Thorne Flemming of Green Tree Housing Project was arrested and charged for the offences of resisting arrest, battery on police and battery. Rohan Hutton of Gingerland was arrested and charged on 10th October 2008 for the offence of driving without insurance. COURT CONVICTIONS Jack Spencer of Verchilds Village appeared before the District “B” Magistrate Court on Friday 10th October 2008 to answer the charge of careless driving and he was convicted for the offence which was committed on 15th June 2008 and ordered to pay $600.00 in three months or serve one month in prison. Clinton Tobias of Sandy Point also appeared before the court and was convicted for the offences of threatening and indecent language and severely warned. The offences were committed on 16th April 2008. Roselyn “Rita” Richardson also of Sandy Point, appeared before the said court and was convicted and severely warned for the offences of indecent language and harassment. Kevin Cannonier of Phillips Village also appeared before the court to answer the charges of obstruction and refusing to give name and was convicted and fined $600.00 and severely cautioned for the respective offences. The fine must be paid within three months or Cannonier will serve one month in prison. OPERATIONS On Sunday 12th October 2008, Police conducted routine stop and search patrols and a total of 30 persons were stopped and searched for illegal drugs, arms and ammunitions and a quantity of cannabis was found in the surrounding area during the execution of a search but no one was held accountable for the find. The drugs were taken into custody. Police also conducted operations on Friday 10th October 2008 in the Mc Knight, Market Street, Monkey Hill, Stapleton Village, Mansion Village, Lower Cayon and Conaree area and during the operations a total of 44 individuals were stopped and searched for illegal drugs, arms and ammunitions and several quantities of cannabis was found at different locations but no one was held accountable for the find. The drugs were also taken into custody.
