POLICE BLOTTER ARRESTS During stop and search operations, the Police searched Thuau Audain of Haynes Smith village, a quantity marijuana was found in his possession. He was arrested and charged for possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana with intent to supply. On April 22nd 2009 Clayton Mac Donald of Conaree was formally charged for wounding with intent committed on March 11th 2009. CONVICTIONS At a sitting of the Sandy Point Magistrate Court on April 28th 2009, the following persons were convicted and fined as follows: i. Ambrose Buchanan of Sandy Point was fined $1,000.00 to be paid in 3 months or serve one month in prison for beating his uncle Hugh Daniel, by spitting on him on January 9th 2009. ii. Tensroy Percival of Old Road was fined $1,500.00 to be paid in 3 months or serve 3 months in prison, for beating a police officer in the execution of his duty. iii. Dawson Woodley of Sandy Point was fined $850.00 to be paid in 2 months or serve one month in prison for making use of indecent language to a Customs Officer at the Sandy Point Post Office on 24th September 2008. iv. Jerome Liddie of Sandy Point was placed on a bond in the sum of $2,500.00 for six months, for making use of insulting language to Crystal Richardson of Sandy Point. He is to keep the peace and be of good behavior during this period, and to stay away from Ms. Richardson and her family. v. Alfred Browne of St. Paul’s was fined $1,200.00 to be paid in 3 months or serve 1 month in prison for battery. vi. A 17 year old juvenile of the Alley Sandy Point was sentenced to prison for one month for possession of cannabis on 18th Nov. 2008. vii. Kevaughn David of Mount Idle, Sandy Point was fined $700.00 to be paid in two months or serve one month in prison for carrying abroad an offensive weapon to wit a machete, on January 9th 2009. At a sitting of the Charlestown Magistrate Court on April 28th 2009, the following persons were convicted and sentenced as follows: i Rochelle Newton of Jessups Village was fined $1500.00 to be paid in one (1) month or one (1) month in prison for the offence of battery. The offence occurred on 3/4/09 in Charlestown. ii Hans Tyson of River was fined $1,000.00 to be paid in three (3) months or serve three (3) months in prison for the offence of malicious damage. He was also fined $500.00 to be paid in one (1) month or serve one (1) month in prison for the offence of battery. The offences occurred on 17/04/09 at Reliable Motors. iii Kennedy Freeman of Rawlins Village was fined $500.00 to be paid in six (6) months or serve one (1) year in prison for the offence of possession of marijuana. The offence occurred on 24/04/09. At a sitting of the Basseterre Magistrate Court on April 22nd 2009, the following persons were convicted and fined as follows: i. Alfred Wattley of Newtown was sentenced to one month in prison for stealing a quantity of mangoes from a residence at New Pond Site on April 19th 2009. ii. Jason Rouse of Lower Shear Lane was fined $5,000.00 to be paid in one week or 12 months in prison for stealing items to the value of $4,985.00 from the home of a Shadwell Housing resident between April 9th and 10th 2009. iii. Jeshorn Mills of Craddock Road appeared before the Charlestown Magistrate Court on charges of possession of firearm and possession of ammunition. He was sentenced to prison for five years on each charge. Both sentences to run concurrently.
