Gazetted Officers of the Royal St. Christopher-Nevis Police Force, along with specially invited guests which included Government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, members of the corporate community and former Gazetted Police Officers, met and dined the Marriott’s ballroom on Friday 15th February 2007, in what has now become the annual Officers Mess Dinner.
The occasion is one which provides an opportunity for members of the Force from the rank of Inspector upwards, to socialize with other stakeholders and partners in the community, as a gesture of our appreciation for their support and assistance throughout the year. This fits into the Force’s strategy to reach out to the public at all levels to bridge the gap and forge strong links to better enable law enforcement to fight crime. Retired Commissioner of Police Mr. Robert Jeffers and Deputy Commissioner Mr. Meridith Charles were honoured for their years of dedicated service to the Police Force and were awarded with plaques.
Mr. Starret Greene, Director of the OAS delivered the feature address. While Mr. Alex Condel opened the event with a rendition of the National Anthem on Saxaphone, while the Modern Image Band serenaded the gathering.
