Police investigating fatal stabbing on Branch Street

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts — The Police are investigating an incident in which a man was fatally stabbed.

Police received a report of a body being found lying in a drain on Branch Street at about 6:25 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 1. The Police responded and, upon arrival, found the motionless body of John Gumbs of Pond Road with what appeared to be multiple stab wounds to the abdomen.

The Police are making an appeal to anyone who might have any information in relation to this incident to call the Violent Crimes Unit at 467-1887, 467-1888, or 662-3468 or their nearest Police Station. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
