RAMSBURY MAN CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED MURDER By John Denny Observer Reporter
(Charlestown, Nevis) – A suspect is in custody for attempted murder for a shooting incident that happened on Craddock Road on Jan. 6. Minilec Tyson of Ramsbury Site, Nevis was arrested and formerly charged earlier this week for an incident where two locals and a tourist were in a vehicle parked on Craddock Road on the night in question and Tyson allegedly walked up to the vehicle and opened fire, knocking out two door windows of a four-door pickup truck. “I didn’t get a good look at the guy, all I saw was the gun and every body else in the truck started yelling for me to drive,’said the tourist. The gunman had some gun troubles, because according to the witnesses, he tried pulling the trigger several times before the gun finally went of. By that time, the vehicle was in motion. The first shot came through the front passenger window hitting the local man in the neck. A female passenger in the back seat dove for cover as the second shot exploded through the back passenger widow, narrowly missing her. The victim was hospitalized for his injury. The tourist, a visiting musician to Nevis said about the incident, “It sure put some excitement into my visit and it is going to be an inspiration for a song.”
