Holding true to its commitment to support community sponsored events, RBTT Bank (SKN) Ltd, in association with the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Nevis held its first ever collaborative fund raising walk. These funds will assist the Alexandra Hospital in purchasing a much needed heart monitor.
Just over 200 individuals participated for this worthy cause that took place on National Hero’s Day September 17th 2007. The six mile walk started promptly at 6:00am from the Vance Amory International Airport in New Castle and ended at Chevy’s Beach Bar and Grill on Pinney’s Beach. Each participant, upon registration, received RBTT T-shirt compliments of RBTT Bank (SKN) Ltd. A tasty breakfast provided by the Ministry of Youth and Sports awaited tired walkers at Chevy’s Beach Bar and Grill as they came in.
The island main road swelled with RBTT clad walkers of all ages. After the last participant came in, the RBTT Bank (SKN) Ltd Country Manager Mrs. Corliss Charles- Sutton thanked the participants and her RBTT team for giving of their time for such a worthwhile event. A prize giving ceremony followed where prizes were awarded to individuals in the following categories:
Youngest participant, oldest participant, first male to complete the course, first female to complete the course, and most family members who participated.
A presentation will be made to the Alexandra Hospital in due course.
