(Charlestown, Nevis) – A Stoney Grove man had to have a bullet removed from his shoulder after being shot on the evening of Friday, May 16, while driving in the area of Low Street.
Asim Parris, who works for Surry Paving and Aggregate, said he was driving through Charlestown and slowed to negotiate a corner at Low Street when five shots were fired, knocking out the windshield and back glass.
One bullet struck Parris in the right shoulder. He drove himself to the hospital.
In a previous incident several weeks ago, Parris’ vehicle was shot at injuring a passenger. Parris was recently released from prison after serving a four-year sentence, according to sources.
As of press time, the police were unavailable to comment on the matter.
