Schadone Liburd stormed home in nine minutes and twenty-six seconds, while Steffon Collison romped home in ten minutes and thirty seconds as the St.John’s Primary School hosted it’s annual cross country events on Tuesday. The junior girls got things off to a good start with a fairly rapid pace. They ran from the school, down to Bailey Yard and back up to the school. Janessa Caines took first spot in nine minutes and twenty-six seconds. The boys completed a similar route and this time it was Khaleel Glasgow who took first place honours in nine minutes and fifty-one seconds. The senior girls then completed their extended route from Cox Village, in front of the original home of Sports Minister, Hon Hensley Daniel, down through Bailey Yard and up to the school. The senior boys completed the same course with one significant extension as they started at Clay Ghaut in the vicinity of Bababs shop. Quite a number of parents and other relatives of the athletes showed up to show their support. The first ten placings in the four categories were: Junior girls: Janessa Caines, Azeleah Percival, Shontel Bye, Keonicia Reid, Aaliyah Haughton, Shadequa Stapleton, Shaquania Liburd, Amanda Ross, Angalie Mahose and Sheonique Noland. Junior boys: Khaleel Glasgow, Diamond Phillip, Samuel Ortis, Jobari Browne, Akeem Lewis, Shamaul Delashly, Queleel Roberts, Akeejai France, Tazari Tyson and Deondre Browne. Senior girls: Schadone Liburd, Berta Santana, Keimarley Stanley, Alexandra Richards, Fazeena Persaud, Veronique Walters, Kirthly Bhoojraj, Calisia Webbe, Ayana Byron and Adaijah Stapleton. Senior Boys: Steffon Collison, Kevonne Pemberton, Akeem Dos Santos, Jomani Elliot, Anthony Silviara, Rajrenjah Balgobin, Charvez Stanley, Kyle Dasent, Kayode Wilkin and Sherwin Hill.
